I will bless the Lord, O my soul Psalm 103

Psalm 103
Bless the Lord, O my soul; And all that is within me, bless His holy name!
Bless the Lord, O my soul, And forget not all His benefits:
Who forgives all your iniquities, Who heals all your diseases,

Who redeems your life from destruction,Who crowns you with lovingkindness and tender mercies,
Who satisfies your mouth with good things, So that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s.

The Lord executes righteousness and justice for all who are oppressed.
He made known His ways to Moses,His acts to the children of Israel.
The Lord is merciful and gracious,Slow to anger, and abounding in mercy.
He will not always strive with us, Nor will He keep His anger forever.
He has not dealt with us according to our sins, Nor punished us according to our iniquities.

For as the heavens are high above the earth, So great is His mercy toward those who fear Him;
As far as the east is from the west, So far has He removed our transgressions from us.

As a father pities his children, So the Lord pities those who fear Him.
For He knows our frame; He remembers that we are dust.

As for man, his days are like grass; As a flower of the field, so he flourishes.
For the wind passes over it, and it is gone ,And its place remembers it no more.
But the mercy of the Lord is from everlasting to everlasting On those who fear Him,
And His righteousness to children’s children, To such as keep His covenant,And to those who remember His commandments to do them.

The Lord has established His throne in heaven, And His kingdom rules over all.

Bless the Lord, you His angels, Who excel in strength, who do His word,Heeding the voice of His word.
Bless the Lord, all you His hosts,You ministers of His, who do His pleasure.
Bless the Lord, all His works, In all places of His dominion. Bless the Lord, O my soul!

Yes, today I will bless the Lord. Even though annoying things try to interfere, the words of rude people try to shake me, I will still bless the Lord. I feel like a memo went out to the world : “make her life difficult in every way” – that’s how the last two weeks have felt. How can I have so much interference everywhere I turn? Why isn’t everything going my way? Why are the simplistic things turning into long dragged out trials? Why am I dealing with so many problems?  Whatever! I’m going to bless the Lord and refuse to be brought down.

I will bless the Lord, with all my soul and forget not His benefits. I will lift my head up and wait for my King. He forgives all my sins and heals all my diseases, He redeems my life from destruction and crowns me with loving kindness and tender mercies. How awesome is that?!? He makes all my problems disappear as I refocus. I will rejoice for this is the day that the Lord has made. He will strengthen me and renew my youth  like the eagles. Amen, it just doesn’t get any better than that.

A prayer of hope, a prayer of praise, a prayer for direction, a prayer for strength in troubled times

O Lord God of Heaven and Earth,

In danger, I will hide beneath your wings
In fear, I will trust in you
In despair, I give my burdens to you.
In my sins, you purify me
In brokenness, you restore my joy.
In troubles, you rescue me each time.
In hard times, you give me more than enough
I will not be disgraced.
In discouragement, I will hope in You
I will praise You again.
If I stumble, you keep me from falling
You hold me by my hand.
If I have gone astray, you show me the right way
You point in the direction in which I am to go.

O God, I praise you. You are my King and my God. You knew me before the foundation of the the earth, you know me by name. How beautiful are your laws. Your unfailing love covers me as a shield. You alone are Holy and Righteous. Let all the earth praise your Great name. For in my distress you heard me, You lifted me out of raging waters. You are my refuge and my High tower of safety. I will shout to you with joyful praise. You are my refuge and my strength, my ever-present help in times of trouble.

Lord, my troubles overwhelm me, my enemies surround me and bring trouble. Confuse my enemies O Lord. Confuse and frustrate the plans of the wicked, for wickedness has filled my land, truth and righteousness are no longer found and everything is falling apart. But I will call on my God- The Lord who rescues me- The God who has ruled forever will rescue me. Lord, look upon the threats and those who speak against you and your laws. I will no longer worry about the wicked, I remember that they will soon fade away. Grant your servants with all boldness to speak your Word by stretching out your hand to heal and that signs and wonders may be done through your name of your Holy Servant Jesus.

Lord, may your face shine upon your people. Arise O lord and rescue us. Slap all our enemies in the face for victory comes from you O God, Bless your people. You are my light and my Salvation, why should I be afraid? I will remain confident in You. Teach me how to live O God. Lead me along the right paths. I will wait patiently for the Lord. I will be brave and courageous for you O God. Yes, I will wait patiently for You. You are my Rock and my Safety, my Strength and my Shield. I trust in you with all my heart. You strengthen me and fill me with joy.

Lord, answer my cries in my times of trouble. Strengthen me according to your word. May your name keep me from all harm , send your help from the sanctuary to rescue me and strengthen me from your Holy Mountain. May you grant us our hearts desires and make all our plans succeed. Lord, answer the people’s prayers. Lead me in the right path, O Lord, and make your way plain for me to follow. Bless me, indeed, and enlarge my territory that your hand would be with me and that you would keep me from evil that I may not cause pain to anyone.

Thank you Father for your Holy Spirit, for saving me and dwelling in me. Thank you for your unconditional love, your tender mercies and for faithfully keeping your promises. I know that with you, O God, I can overcome every obstacle, with you, O God, I can do all things through Christ Jesus. I can face each day with joy and victory no matter what comes my way. I stand unshakable because you are with me. No matter what trials may come my way, I stand unshakable because You are My God and in You I trust. I give my burdens to you, O Lord and I know you will take care of me. I trust in you to save me, so why should I be afraid?

Your promises are true and trustworthy, standing forever. You help those who trust in You. You will grant the desires of those hearts who delight in You. You causes those who trust in you to live in safety and prosper.  You give all those who fear your name all their needs.  Who are we that you should consider us? Your grace and love over us is too infinite for us to understand. Thank you for your unfailing love.

If I have gone astray or drifted from your laws, show me the right path. Create in me a clean heart O God, and renew a loyal spirit within in me. Do not banish me from your presence. Restore to me the joy of your salvation and make me willing to obey you. For your instructions are my joy, they are perfect and revive my soul. Cleanse me from my hidden faults and keep me from sin and don’t let them control me. I put my hope in you.

I will not fear when troubles come.  I will not fear when earthquakes come or when mountains crumble into the sea. I will wait patiently for You, my God, I will stand still before Your presence, for You, My God will be honored in every nation and throughout the world. The Lord of Heavens armies is here among us, praise His name, and the God of Israel is our Fortress forever. In you O God, I trust,

In the name of Jesus, the Holy Son of God, I pray  Amen

Song of Solomon; Song of Songs tells the bible story- Genesis to Revelation

Last year I studied the Song of Songs/Song of Solomon, the Lord taught me that this book was written for us to understand His love for us. You see, His love is indescribable and it’s unmeasurable, how could anyone possibly understand it? We see this great love between a king and his bride written in the Song of Solomon, we can understand this great love between a man and a woman. God wants us to know that His love for you is even greater than this love we read about. He says “Beloved, your eyes are like doves”.  He loves you, he created you and He wants you to know this and understand how much He loves you.
As I was studying different theories and viewpoints, I remember reading that some ancient rabbis believe this book tells of the story of Israel, perhaps the whole bible written in these 8 chapters. I decided to sit down and see if I could find any similarities and I found something! Now, I don’t know if I’m right or wrong, maybe it’s a start to something more, but check out my discoveries I have found a story line from Jacob to Egypt to Ruth to David, to captivity to the prophets, to John, to Jesus, to the gospel and ending with the same words we read in revelation : “ Even so, come, Lord”

I see it written out as a love story between the Lord God and His people Israel; His love for them- their story through history and their return to Him in the last days. And Yes, it’s lengthy. All 8 chapters are here- but I’ve underlined my conclusions to each verse so hopefully that will make it easier to read through 🙂

chapter 1: God’s intimate love with Israel in Genesis up to the time of Kings

The song of songs, which is Solomon’s.Let him kiss me with the kisses of his mouth: for thy love is better than wine.Because of the savour of thy good ointments thy name is as ointment poured forth, therefore do the virgins love thee.Draw me, we will run after thee: the king hath brought me into his chambers: we will be glad and rejoice in thee, we will remember thy love more than wine: the upright love thee.I am black, but comely, O ye daughters of Jerusalem, as the tents of Kedar, as the curtains of Solomon.  (The love between the Lord and Israel begins, oil and ointments first mentioned in Genesis with Jacob, there was a time (vs 4) where they walked closely together. Some speculate this may be when the commandments were given)

Look not upon me, because I am black, because the sun hath looked upon me: my mother’s children were angry with me; they made me the keeper of the vineyards; but mine own vineyard have I not kept. ( Israel becomes a slave in Egypt, slaves to their brothers; they took care of the Egyptians, but were not able to take care of their own land- why? She says her face is dark because her brothers and sisters made her work for them- and she was unable to take care of her own people)

Tell me, O thou whom my soul loveth, where thou feedest, where thou makest thy flock to rest at noon: for why should I be as one that turneth aside by the flocks of thy companions? (the Lord leads the flock from Egypt and brings them to rest, why should I leave you, O Israel? Moses, Joshua, Judges)

If thou know not, O thou fairest among women, go thy way forth by the footsteps of the flock, and feed thy kids beside the shepherds’ tents. (Ruth 3:4  And it shall be, when he (Boaz) lieth down, that thou shalt mark the place where he shall lie, and thou shalt go in, and uncover his feet, and lay thee down; and he will tell thee what thou shalt do,chapter 4:13-15 So Boaz took Ruth, and she was his wife: and when he went in unto her, the Lord gave her conception, and she bare a son.  And the women said unto Naomi, Blessed be the Lord, which hath not left thee this day without a kinsman, that his name may be famous in Israel. And he shall be unto thee a restorer of thy life, and a nourisher of thine old age: for thy daughter in law, which loveth thee, which is better to thee than seven sons, hath born him,,,vs21 and Boaz begat Obed,  And Obed begat Jesse, and Jesse begat David”

9-11 I have compared thee, O my love, to a company of horses in Pharaoh’s chariots.  Thy cheeks are comely with rows of jewels, thy neck with chains of gold. We will make thee borders of gold with studs of silver ( She arose in Majesty and beauty as on the way to a certain place with gold- symbolizing Kingship- the beginning of Kings with Samuel and Hannah)

12 While the king sitteth at his table, my spikenard sendeth forth the smell thereof. (The Story of Kings beginning with King Saul and King David– spikenard, fragrance, sacrifice- and the king sits at his table)

13 A bundle of myrrh is my well-beloved unto me; he shall lie all night betwixt my breasts. (Sweet fragrance of intimacy with their Lord God- a new closeness with the Lord begins with Samuel and King David)

14 My beloved is unto me as a cluster of camphire in the vineyards of Engedi.(camphire is a ransom, a cover, or a dye. It speaks, prophecy of their ransom)

15 Behold, thou art fair, my love; behold, thou art fair; thou hast doves’ eyes.(The relationship between Israel and the Lord as the nation grows)

16 Behold, thou art fair, my beloved, yea, pleasant: also our bed is green.( Israel’s dedication of love to the Lord as they continue to grow and be mighty among the nations)

17 The beams of our house are cedar, and our rafters of fir. (The house of Israel began as a a strong fortress in the Lord, fully protected and supported by Him on everyside)

chapter 2: the time of Kings and Prophets to the prophecy of Immanuel

I am the rose of Sharon, and the lily of the valleys. (His (Jesus) proclamation by the prophets)

As the lily among thorns, so is my love among the daughters.(His announcement of His love to His people among all the nations of the earth)

As the apple tree among the trees of the wood, so is my beloved among the sons. I sat down under his shadow with great delight, and his fruit was sweet to my taste. He brought me to the banqueting house, and his banner over me was love.Stay me with flagons, comfort me with apples: for I am sick of love. His left hand is under my head, and his right hand doth embrace me. (Deuteronomy 32:10 He found him in a desert land, and in the waste howling wilderness; he led him about, he instructed him, he kept him as the apple of his eye.- the mention of the banqueting house reminds me of the wedding of the lamb. –Solomon mentions apples 4 times in this book)

I charge you, O ye daughters of Jerusalem, by the roes, and by the hinds of the field, that ye stir not up, nor awake my love, till he please.

The voice of my beloved! behold, he cometh leaping upon the mountains, skipping upon the hills.(Proclamation of the King of Kings coming)

My beloved is like a roe or a young hart: behold, he standeth behind our wall, he looketh forth at the windows, shewing himself through the lattice.(There is anticipation for His arrival)

10 My beloved spake, and said unto me, Rise up, my love, my fair one, and come away. (He calls his people back, but are they listening?)

11 For, lo, the winter is past, the rain is over and gone; (The time has past, and a new time is here- be ready)

12 The flowers appear on the earth; the time of the singing of birds is come, and the voice of the turtle is heard in our land; (a new time is coming, Passover is celebrated – Hezekiah/Nehemiah/Ezra- rebuilding)

13 The fig tree putteth forth her green figs, and the vines with the tender grape give a good smell. Arise, my love, my fair one, and come away.

14 O my dove, that art in the clefts of the rock, in the secret places of the stairs, let me see thy countenance, let me hear thy voice; for sweet is thy voice, and thy countenance is comely. (Intimacy between the people and the clefts of rocks and secret places may symbolizes the Holy of Holies and their intimacy with the Lord in His Holy Place)

15 Take us the foxes, the little foxes, that spoil the vines: for our vines have tender grapes. (other nations have tried to come in and capture us, the fortresses are torn down- Babylon captivity)

16 My beloved is mine, and I am his: he feedeth among the lilies.17 Until the day break, and the shadows flee away, turn, my beloved, and be thou like a roe or a young hart upon the mountains of Bether.( Come back! Come back, she cries…has He left? Has she been abandoned? She is alone and waiting for Him to come back or waiting for His arrival- this could be the time of their captivity)

Chapter 3; Israel searches for Him, but cannot find Him to the Angels proclamation)

By night on my bed I sought him whom my soul loveth: I sought him, but I found him not. (“you seek me but do not find me”; “you honor me with your lips, but turn your back to me”- Prophets Isaiah, Jeremiah, Amos, Micah speak out)

I will rise now, and go about the city in the streets, and in the broad ways I will seek him whom my soul loveth: I sought him, but I found him not. (You search for the Lord on the “broad paths” but you do not walk along the narrow path to find Me. You search, but still do not find me)

The watchmen that go about the city found me: to whom I said, Saw ye him whom my soul loveth? (The watchmen may symbolize the religious system in the Temple who over see the land and people- who later beat her for her continued search of her love Ezekiel 44:8  And ye have not kept the charge of mine holy things: but ye have set keepers of my charge in my sanctuary for yourselves)

4 It was but a little that I passed from them, but I found him whom my soul loveth: I held him, and would not let him go, until I had brought him into my mother‘s house, and into the chamber of her that conceived me. ( King Jesus is about to arrive on scene – to be born into the family of David – behold, a virgin shall conceive a child, who has ever heard of such a thing?)

I charge you, O ye daughters of Jerusalem, by the roes, and by the hinds of the field, that ye stir not up, nor awake my love, till he please.

Who is this that cometh out of the wilderness like pillars of smoke, perfumed with myrrh and frankincense, with all powders of the merchant? (John the Baptist in the Wilderness preparing the way for the king and the 3 Kings who had been waiting for this day who came with myrrh and frankincense- for He comes like a pillar of Smoke – Our Lord and our God- and others say this may be Israels journey to canaan- or maybe both!! Or maybe even add Israel becoming a nation in 1948)

Behold his bed, which is Solomon’s; threescore valiant men are about it, of the valiant of Israel.( The 3 Kings prepare for their journey to see the King of Kings fortold in scripture)

They all hold swords, being expert in war: every man hath his sword upon his thigh because of fear in the night. (Wicked King Herod hears of the news and sends orders to slaughter every male child, screams and cries of anguish are heard throughout the land, for the sword has slain them)

King Solomon made himself a chariot of the wood of Lebanon. ( They escape to Egypt – like a chariot of Pharaoh- the King Jesus is hidden and safe)

10 He made the pillars thereof of silver, the bottom thereof of gold, the covering of it of purple, the midst thereof being paved with love, for the daughters of Jerusalem. (The daughters of Jerusalem have fallen in love with the new King, gold and purple symbolizing majesty and kingship- as written also in chapter 1)

11 Go forth, O ye daughters of Zion, and behold king Solomon with the crown wherewith his mother crowned him in the day of his espousals, and in the day of the gladness of his heart. ( GO! Find Him! For the King is here- The shepherds see the angels and the songs of praise and peace (and gladness) fill the heavens)

Chapter 4; Remission of sins, proclamation of love, but she is beaten and rebuked for loving Him and searching for Him – prophetic words and awaiting His arrival and promises

Behold, thou art fair, my love; behold, thou art fair; thou hast doves’ eyes within thy locks: thy hair is as a flock of goats, that appear from mount Gilead.Thy teeth are like a flock of sheep that are even shorn, which came up from the washing; whereof every one bear twins, and none is barren among them.Thy lips are like a thread of scarlet, and thy speech is comely: thy temples are like a piece of a pomegranate within thy locks.Thy neck is like the tower of David builded for an armoury, whereon there hang a thousand bucklers, all shields of mighty men.Thy two breasts are like two young roes that are twins, which feed among the lilies. (His proclamation of Love to His wife, Israel)

Until the day break, and the shadows flee away, I will get me to the mountain of myrrh, and to the hill of frankincense. (This is written 2x, she keeps seeking and again begins to wait again for the king- but He has already come, she is anxious for his arrival and worried the day will end, she must find Him, even if she has to run away)

7 Thou art all fair, my love; there is no spot in thee.(He came for the Remission of sins, our Salvation, He cleansed His people, all those who believe in Him)

Come with me from Lebanon, my spouse, with me from Lebanon: look from the top of Amana, from the top of Shenir and Hermon, from the lions’ dens, from the mountains of the leopards. ( Jesus is tempted in the desert)

Thou hast ravished my heart, my sister, my spouse; thou hast ravished my heart with one of thine eyes, with one chain of thy neck.10 How fair is thy love, my sister, my spouse! how much better is thy love than wine! and the smell of thine ointments than all spices!11 Thy lips, O my spouse, drop as the honeycomb: honey and milk are under thy tongue; and the smell of thy garments is like the smell of Lebanon. (His proclamation of love to His people)

12 A garden inclosed is my sister, my spouse; a spring shut up, a fountain sealed. (This reminds me of the Holy spirit – we are sealed and protected by the Holy Spirit)

13 Thy plants are an orchard of pomegranates, with pleasant fruits; camphire, with spikenard,14 Spikenard and saffron; calamus and cinnamon, with all trees of frankincense; myrrh and aloes, with all the chief spices:15 A fountain of gardens, a well of living waters, and streams from Lebanon. (Description of Jesus- a well of living water)

16 Awake, O north wind; and come, thou south; blow upon my garden, that the spices thereof may flow out. Let my beloved come into his garden, and eat his pleasant fruits. ( As the scent travels with the north and south wind, so does the good news- yet she keeps calling and waiting for His arrival)

Song of Songs 5; Behold, He comes

I am come into my garden, my sister, my spouse: I have gathered my myrrh with my spice; I have eaten my honeycomb with my honey; I have drunk my wine with my milk: eat, O friends; drink, yea, drink abundantly, O beloved. ( I am coming my love, the Lord is about to arrive)

I sleep, but my heart waketh: it is the voice of my beloved that knocketh, saying, Open to me, my sister, my love, my dove, my undefiled: for my head is filled with dew, and my locks with the drops of the night. ( Jesus is knocking on the door and she is ready, but she does not answer, the laws of man have held her back)

I have put off my coat; how shall I put it on? I have washed my feet; how shall I defile them? ( I have made excuses and she hears the Lord, but she doesn’t listen; this also reminds me of the parable of the 10 virgins. She is waiting , but she isn’t prepared or won’t answer the door even though her love has arrived. He was there, but she really didn’t care)

4 My beloved put in his hand by the hole of the door, and my bowels were moved for him.( She knew He was there, but something held her back- was it the religious system of that day? That convinced her not to open? )

I rose up to open to my beloved; and my hands dropped with myrrh, and my fingers with sweet smelling myrrh, upon the handles of the lock.( She finally decides to open the door, but He is no longer there)

I opened to my beloved; but my beloved had withdrawn himself, and was gone: my soul failed when he spake: I sought him, but I could not find him; I called him, but he gave me no answer.( He was at the door knocking, but she didn’t answer- He is the door, behold, he stands at the door and knocks….)

The watchmen that went about the city found me, they smote me, they wounded me; the keepers of the walls took away my veil from me.(The religious men beat His beloved for searching Him out, she was stopped in her search for Him)

I charge you, O daughters of Jerusalem, if ye find my beloved, that ye tell him, that I am sick of love.

What is thy beloved more than another beloved, O thou fairest among women? what is thy beloved more than another beloved, that thou dost so charge us?

10 My beloved is white and ruddy, the chiefest among ten thousand. (Jesus is chief among 10,000- a King and a ruler)

11 His head is as the most fine gold, his locks are bushy, and black as a raven.(reminds me of a description of the Lord in the book of Ezekiel)

12 His eyes are as the eyes of doves by the rivers of waters, washed with milk, and fitly set.13 His cheeks are as a bed of spices, as sweet flowers: his lips like lilies, dropping sweet smelling myrrh.14 His hands are as gold rings set with the beryl: his belly is as bright ivory overlaid with sapphires.15 His legs are as pillars of marble, set upon sockets of fine gold: his countenance is as Lebanon, excellent as the cedars.

16 His mouth is most sweet: yea, he is altogether lovely. This is my beloved, and this is my friend, O daughters of Jerusalem (He is altogether lovely – Jesus taught us we are his friends)

Chapter 6: His death; our salvation, Isreal still searches for Him, a call for Him to return

Whither is thy beloved gone, O thou fairest among women? whither is thy beloved turned aside? that we may seek him with thee. (Where has He gone that they can seek Him? She sought Him, but she was beaten for looking for him. He knocked on her door, but she didn’t answer, when she finally decided to get up and search for him after he left, she was beaten by the gatekeepers)

My beloved is gone down into his garden, to the beds of spices, to feed in the gardens, and to gather lilies. ( He has left to His own garden and His own flock, there is still love between the two, even though there is a separation)

I am my beloved’s, and my beloved is mine: he feedeth among the lilies.Thou art beautiful, O my love, as Tirzah, comely as Jerusalem, terrible as an army with banners. Turn away thine eyes from me, for they have overcome me: thy hair is as a flock of goats that appear from Gilead. Thy teeth are as a flock of sheep which go up from the washing, whereof every one beareth twins, and there is not one barren among them.

As a piece of a pomegranate are thy temples within thy locks. There are threescore queens, and fourscore concubines, and virgins without number. My dove, my undefiled is but one; she is the only one of her mother, she is the choice one of her that bare her. The daughters saw her, and blessed her; yea, the queens and the concubines, and they praised her. ( The Kings still loves her and she belongs to Him, he has made her beautiful, without spot and undefiled- chosen, the nations see)

10 Who is she that looketh forth as the morning, fair as the moon, clear as the sun, and terrible as an army with banners? (Who is as the morning and as terrible as an army with banners? Is this Lucifer? Son of the morning coming against God’s people?)

11 I went down into the garden of nuts to see the fruits of the valley, and to see whether the vine flourished and the pomegranates budded. 12 Or ever I was aware, my soul made me like the chariots of Amminadib. (She continues to search, but something is in the way)

13 Return, return, O Shulamite; return, return, that we may look upon thee. What will ye see in the Shulamite? As it were the company of two armies. ( The king calls his beloved bride, Israel back- come back, come back!  He loves her and He will not give up on her- though there is division- for she loves and searches for him, but the gatekeepers have held her back and when she did have an opportunity to be with him, she didn’t open the door)

Chapter 7: After the death and resurrection of Jesus, the Gospel is proclaimed and the Lord continues to reach out to His beloved people, and walk among His chosen

How beautiful are thy feet with shoes, O prince’s daughter! the joints of thy thighs are like jewels, the work of the hands of a cunning workman. ( The feet of the messenger on the mountain proclaiming the Gospel of Jesus Christ to the World)

Thy navel is like a round goblet, which wanteth not liquor: thy belly is like an heap of wheat set about with lilies.Thy two breasts are like two young roes that are twins.Thy neck is as a tower of ivory; thine eyes like the fishpools in Heshbon, by the gate of Bathrabbim: thy nose is as the tower of Lebanon which looketh toward Damascus.Thine head upon thee is like Carmel, and the hair of thine head like purple; the king is held in the galleries. How fair and how pleasant art thou, O love, for delights! This thy stature is like to a palm tree, and thy breasts to clusters of grapes.I said, I will go up to the palm tree, I will take hold of the boughs thereof: now also thy breasts shall be as clusters of the vine, and the smell of thy nose like apples; And the roof of thy mouth like the best wine for my beloved, that goeth down sweetly, causing the lips of those that are asleep to speak. (The entire body of Christ, each part working together as one, bride of Christ)

10 I am my beloved’s, and his desire is toward me. ( The bride and the bridegroom)

11 Come, my beloved, let us go forth into the field; let us lodge in the villages. ( Let us walk together)

12 Let us get up early to the vineyards; let us see if the vine flourish, whether the tender grape appear, and the pomegranates bud forth: there will I give thee my loves. 13 The mandrakes give a smell, and at our gates are all manner of pleasant fruits, new and old, which I have laid up for thee, O my beloved.( They walk together, and ,through the vine , the Lord Jesus they (His people) flourish by the Holy Spirit producing fruit- and are a pleasing aroma unto the Lord)

chapter 8: He is coming again, but He is not yet ready, He will fight for Israel, He will protect her, A call, as proclaimed as in Revelation : “Come Quickly! Hurry, come quickly!”

O that thou wert as my brother, that sucked the breasts of my mother! when I should find thee without, I would kiss thee; yea, I should not be despised.

I would lead thee, and bring thee into my mother’s house, who would instruct me: I would cause thee to drink of spiced wine of the juice of my pomegranate.

His left hand should be under my head, and his right hand should embrace me.

I charge you, O daughters of Jerusalem, that ye stir not up, nor awake my love, until he please. ( He is not yet ready to return yet)

Who is this that cometh up from the wilderness, leaning upon her beloved? I raised thee up under the apple tree: there thy mother brought thee forth: there she brought thee forth that bare thee. (She is restored and again with her love- Zechariah 12-14- He will save His people)

Set me as a seal upon thine heart, as a seal upon thine arm: for love is strong as death; jealousy is cruel as the grave: the coals thereof are coals of fire, which hath a most vehement flame.(Seal of the Holy Spirit- or the mark in revelation- set upon His love for protection from death and the grave)

Many waters cannot quench love, neither can the floods drown it: if a man would give all the substance of his house for love, it would utterly be contemned.

We have a little sister, and she hath no breasts: what shall we do for our sister in the day when she shall be spoken for?

If she be a wall, we will build upon her a palace of silver: and if she be a door, we will inclose her with boards of cedar.10 I am a wall, and my breasts like towers: then was I in his eyes as one that found favour. (Ephesians 5:27 That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish. Hebrews 9:14 How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?)

12 My vineyard, which is mine, is before me: thou, O Solomon, must have a thousand, and those that keep the fruit thereof two hundred.

13 Thou that dwellest in the gardens, the companions hearken to thy voice: cause me to hear it.

14 Make haste, my beloved, and be thou like to a roe or to a young hart upon the mountains of spices. (Behold, with haste, He comes quickly)

  2. Revelation 2:16 Repent; or else I will come unto thee quickly, and will fight against them with the sword of my mouth.

  6. Revelation 22:12 And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be.
