False Teachers -Titus 1

 

  In the first chapter of Titus, Paul instructs Titus on godly living, selecting godly elders and warning others of false and misleading teachers. The bible tells us many false teachers have gone out into the world and in the last days, there will be many more.  In 2 Timothy 4, we are told that  a time is coming (and is it here now?) when people will not endure sound teaching, but having itching ears they will accumulate for themselves teachers to suit their own passions, and will turn away from listening to the truth and wander off into myths.

( To find Titus: Matthew, Mark , Luke, John, Acts, Corinthians, GEPC (General Electric Power Company – my way of finding Galatians, Ephesians, Philippians, Colossians ) then the books beginning with the letter “T” follow in alphabetical order…)

Interesting side note from Paul in Titus 1: God promised us eternal life/salvation before the world began- that’s amazing to think about.

• Description of the Elder’s/Bishop’s /Church leader Titus was to appoint over the cities:

1. blameless
2. not heavy drinkers or not given to wine
3. husband of one wife, faithful to his wife (1 Tim 3)
4. not quick to anger
5. not self willed
6. faithful
7. all children must be believers and not rebellious or wild (also in 1 Tim 3: For if a man cannot manage his own household, how can he take care of God’s church?)
8. not be arrogant
9. not be violent
10. not be dishonest with money
11. must enjoy having people in his home, love hospitality (also in 1 Tim 3)
12. love what is good, wise, just and holy
13. must be devout, disciplines
14. must be strong in His beliefs in God’s Word, hold fast to what he has been taught
15. must encourage others with wholesome teaching
16. be able to show those who oppose where they are wrong
17. warn the unruly 1 Thes 5:14
18. comfort the feeble minded 1 Thes 5:14
19. support the weak 1 Thes 5:14
20. be patient with all men 1 Thes 5:14
21. see that no one renders evil to another 1 Thes 5:14
22. a life above reproach 1 Tim 3
23. exercise self control, live wisely, have a good reputation 1 Tim 3
24. must be able to teach 1 Tim 3
25. must not be a new believer 1 Tim 3
26. people must speak well of him, well respected 1 Tim 3
27. they must be committed to the mystery of the faith 1 Tim 3
28. Their wives must be respected and must not slander 1 Tim 3
29. their wives must exercise self control and be faithful 1 Tim 3
30. they present themselves to God as one approved, a worker who has no need to be ashamed, rightly handling the word of truth. 2 Tim 2:15

• In Comparison, Paul warns of deceiving teachers: Be Careful! Withdraw yourself from such- False Teachers 

 

1. Preach Salvation with twisted words- teach things they shouldn’t be teaching
2. They turn families from the truth, cause people to err (also Jer 23:13)
3. full of false teaching
4. They do it for $$money $$
5. greedy
6. lazy and gluttons
7. they have turned from the truth
8. They proclaim they know God, but their lives deny it by the way they live
9. disobedient
10. in their works, they deny God
11. obsessed with arguments 1 tim 6
12. don’t teach the Words of the Lord Jesus Christ and the doctrine that accords with godliness 1 tim 6
13. proud 1 tim 6
14. know nothing 1 tim 6
15. secretly bring in destructive heresies 2 Peter 2
16. many follow their destructive ways – (but the Lord knows how to deliver the godly out of temptation and reserve the unjust under punishment for the day of judgment 2 Peter 2)
17. they exploit with deceptive words by their covetousness and greed 2 Peter 2
18. they speak evil of things they do not understand 2 Peter 2
19. they feast with you with eyes full of adultery and cannot cease from sin 2 Peter 2
20. entice unstable souls along the path of destruction 2 Peter 2
21. they have forsaken the right way and gone astray 2 Peter 2
22. they follow the way of Balaam who loved the money, fame, popularity of unrighteousness 2 Peter 2
23. they are wells without water, reserved for the blackness of darkness forever 2 Peter 2
24. Cause people to stray Micah 3
25. they chant ” Peace!”  Micah 3 , Jer 23:11-
26. “haters of the Lord. pretend submission to Him” ps 81:15
27. they work in the Lord’s house and are profane and wicked Jer 23:11-
28. they speak visions from their own heart, not the mouth of God Jer 23
29. To all who “walk according to their own ways, dictates of their own heart, they proclaim, “No evil shall come upon you” Jer 23
30. They proclaim they have dreamed a dream but it is a lie
31. try to get people to forget His Name by their dreams Jer 23
32. They steal words from others Jer 23
33. They can do signs and miracles Revelation
34. “They transforming themselves into apostles of Christ.  And no wonder! For Satan himself transforms himself into an angel of light” 2 cor 11
35.  transform themselves into ministers of righteousness 2 Cor 11
36. They comfort in vain and speak delusions Zechariah 10
37. the false pen of the scribe certainly works falsehood Jer 8:8 – be careful with what you read, weigh it with God’s Word
38. come to you in sheep’s clothing but inwardly are ravenous wolves. Matt 7:15

Paul instructs Titus to STOP THESE FALSE TEACHERS and BRING THE PEOPLE BACK  (  I just read that same thing in Haggai this morning, that He calls the people to return to Him)  Make them strong in the faith, stop listening to Jewish myths, religious myths and commands of men. We must stop and check ourselves and our beliefs- traditions? commands? Are they myths and commands of men deep rooted in our teachings/beliefs or are they the Truth of God’s word?

Looking at #8 above – ” They proclaim to know God, but their lives deny it by the way they live”, ask yourself does my life proclaim not only that I know God, but that my life honors Him. Do my words, my works, my actions, my thoughts, music i listen to, shows I watch, entertainment – Am I an example of a godly life that honors God?

What brought me to this study today? I decided to read and study Haggai and Titus this morning. There was so much to learn and meditate on  . I believe it’s almost everywhere, it saddens me. Sometimes it’s so obvious and other times it’s hidden, it creeps in slowly.

I have a lot more verses to share and interesting facts about Balaam, maybe I’ll have time to post later.

Salvation for the Jewish People : Valley of Dry Bones

  Then I saw four angels standing at the four corners of the earth, holding back the four winds so they did not blow on the earth or the sea, or even on any tree.  And I saw another angel coming up from the east, carrying the seal of the living God. And he shouted to those four angels, who had been given power to harm land and sea,  “Wait! Don’t harm the land or the sea or the trees until we have placed the seal of God on the foreheads of his servants.” Revelation 7:1-3

 

 What might the winds in the passage represent? (Jer 49:36-37, Daniel 7:2)

If I wasn’t recently reading through Ezekiel, I probably wouldn’t have caught this, but hear me out.If we search the scripture to find out more about the 4 winds we see that at times the 4 winds scatter people, they also release the beasts from the sea but in Ezekiel 37 – the chapter on dry bones- the 4 winds bring breath into the bodies formed from the skeletons in the valley. (Keep in mind: Rev 7 talks about the tribes of Israel being sealed immediately after the verse about the 4 winds)

 ‘This is what the Sovereign Lord says: Come, O breath, from the four winds! Breathe into these dead bodies so they may live again.’” Ez 37:9b

Before we can move on, let’s go over some things from Ezekiel 37 so you can see this come together. (And hey! Maybe I’m right, maybe I’m wrong-Is Ez 37 symbolic? Or is it specific? Or is it both? Who knows!  that’s my disclaimer) Here’s what we know about the bones in Ezekiel 37.

1. The bones are in a valley vs. 1 (Joel 3:14- could this be the valley of decision?)
2. The bones are the people Israel 11 – “The whole house of Israel”
3. They are bones of people who once lived and died vs 3
4. They died in their sins because they needed to be cleansed vs 23
5. When they were given new life, they were given God’s Holy Spirit and they would return to their land- this hasn’t happened yet so we’re going to say it’s talking about the last days
6. They stood on their feet and became a great army. Also Zech 12:8, could this also be the army of Revelation 19:14? (That’s debatable, but they are considered a great army that goes out and fights for the Lord in the last days, no talk of white robes though- only those died in tribulation)

Okay so here we know that the 4 winds gave breath/life to the whole house of Israel that died. Notice also the very next verses in Revelation 7 talk about the tribes of Israel being sealed. Also, notice the winds weren’t allowed to harm the earth or sea (yet) but we don’t know if this wind just caused the prophecy of Ezekiel 37 to come to pass. In Rev 7:4, the People of Israel were marked with the seal of God and in Ez 37, they were given God’s Spirit (v14).  What is the seal of God? Consider the verses below

• 2 Corinthians 1:22 Who hath also sealed us, and given the earnest of the Spirit in our hearts.
• Ephesians 1:13 In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise,
• Ephesians 4:30 And grieve not the holy Spirit of God, whereby ye aresealed unto the day of redemption.
• 2 Timothy 2:19 Nevertheless the foundation of God standeth sure, having this seal, The Lord knoweth them that are his. And, let every one that nameth the name of Christ depart from iniquity.

So considering the word seal and the verses above, let’s move on knowing that these tribes of Israel are sealed for salvation by the Holy Spirit.

But how did this happen? Well we know the bones were given new life, but we have more clues to this moment. Let’s go to Zechariah

• Zechariah 12:8-10 On that day the Lord will defend the people of Jerusalem; the weakest among them will be as mighty as King David! And the royal descendants will be like God, like the angel of the Lord who goes before them!  For on that day I will begin to destroy all the nations that come against Jerusalem. “Then I will pour out a spirit of grace and prayer on the family of David and on the people of Jerusalem. They will look on me whom they have pierced and mourn for him as for an only son. They will grieve bitterly for him as for a firstborn son who has died

Look at this! Zechariah talks about the last days and a Spirit of grace and prayer poured out on the family of David. Does this prove the Holy Spirit’s seal of revelation 7 and Ezekiel 37? Possibly! We are told, in the verse above, that the people of Israel will see Christ, the Messiah, His piercings and mourn for Him as an only son, as a firstborn son who has died.

• Ez 39:29  .  And I will never again turn my face from them, for I will pour out my Spirit upon the people of Israel. I, the Sovereign Lord, have spoken!

Could this also be the valley of decision, since we know the bones were in a valley Ez 1 and Joel 3:14-16 talks about a valley of decision in the last days?

• Multitudes, multitudes in the valley of decision: for the day of the Lord is near in the valley of decision The sun and the moon shall be darkened, and the stars shall withdraw their shining. The Lord also shall roar out of Zion, and utter his voice from Jerusalem; and the heavens and the earth shall shake: but the Lord will be the hope of his people, and the strength of the children of Israel.

Putting this together: The dead of Israel are given new life, they see and believe in Christ and are sealed by God – but there’s more! Let’s move on because Jesus is going to cleanse them on this very day with water, a fountain, river :

• Zechariah 13:1 “On that day a fountain will be opened for the dynasty of David and for the people of Jerusalem, a fountain to cleanse them from all their sins and impurity.
• Ezekiel 47:1 [ The River of Healing ] In my vision, the man brought me back to the entrance of the Temple. There I saw a stream flowing east from beneath the door of the Temple and passing to the right of the altar on its south side.
• Ez 36:25-27 “Then I will sprinkle clean water on you, and you will be clean. Your filth will be washed away, and you will no longer worship idols.  And I will give you a new heart, and I will put a new spirit in you. I will take out your stony, stubborn heart and give you a tender, responsive heart. ²⁷ And I will put my Spirit in you so that you will follow my decrees and be careful to obey my regulations.

More Proof that this chapter in Zechariah is about the Last Days:

• Zech 14:1-9Watch, for the day of the Lord is coming when your possessions will be plundered right in front of you! ² I will gather all the nations to fight against Jerusalem. ³ Then the Lord will go out to fight against those nations, as he has fought in times past. ⁴ On that day his feet will stand on the Mount of Olives, east of Jerusalem. And the Mount of Olives will split apart, ⁸ On that day life-giving waters will flow out from Jerusalem, half toward the Dead Sea and half toward the Mediterranean,^] flowing continuously in both summer and winter. And the Lord will be king over all the earth.

I know there’s more , but for attention’s sake, let’s put some things together, assuming these verses are talking about the same day, time and moment.

This is between the 6^th and 7^th seal of Revelation. There will be a day and a time that the Lord God will rise of the dead of Israel who died in their sins and give them new life and a new spirit. (Consider  1 Thes 4:14-17 link in to prove  this – the dead will rise first, and also salvation is for the Jew first and then the Gentiles Romans 1-2 which may prove the Jews rise first and are given a new spirit then the dead in Christ rise up before those alive on earth rise up- and maybe this is why Jesus tells many they will see the Son on man returning on the clouds- because they will be alive again!!!)

More proof! And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.Matthew 24:30

They will be sealed with the Seal of God and nothing will be able to harm them on earth. They will see Jesus, they will mourn for Him as an only Son. A river of cleansing will cleanse them from all their sins. They will be a great army for the Lord and will rise up in the last days to fight for Him.

•  Are these 4 winds the same 4 winds in Ezekiel that give life to Isreal?
•  Are the tribes mentioned in Revelation 7 that are sealed the same army that God rose up out of the valley?
• Is this the valley of decision from Joel?
• Is this where the people of Israel see Him who was pierced and mourn for Him?

Joel 3:21- the last days war, God will pardon the peoples sins that He has not yet pardoned

Jer 3:26
Oh, my people, dress yourselves in burlap
and sit among the ashes.
Mourn and weep bitterly, as for the loss of an only son.

***Alert reader, Marilyn just brought up a great point – when exactly does this happen? Is it before or after the 1000 year reign on earth because clearly Revelation 20 tells us the Christ reigns on earth with those Martyred in the last days but what about the rest of mankind, what about Revelation 19 when Christ and His army wages war against the ungodly on earth.  When do the dead rise up? If it’s before the 1000 year reign, where are they if they are not on earth with Christ, and would it be after the 1000 year reign…..and then when exactly is the wedding feast?

  Is the 1000 years the same as the new Jerusalem… or maybe everyone is there and only those martyred reign as kings and priests, but again I thought we would all be priests ministering for Him.

   Another question was, what about the Pharisees -Jesus asked God to forgive them because they didn’t know what they were doing- so what happens to them…and He also told  the Pharisee that he would see Jesus descending down from earth.

    This is what is so awesome about God’s Holy Word. He will reveal things to us at just the right time. I don’t claim to know anything, but there is something here – a putting together of a puzzle piece, a mystery – that we will one day understand. God’s word is God’s word and interpretation, theory and ideas belong to man. Only the Holy Spirit can guide us into Truth. Ask for guidance, have a berean attitude, searching the scriptures when you are taught anything. God bless!!!

Jesus is here!!!! The Messiah is here on earth! With wonders, signs, miracles, he has come to bring peace !…………………………and…blasphemy?

Tell your children!
Warn those around you!

Pay attention reader, the day will come when you will hear this, but heed this warning:

• Believe it not! And then if any man shall say to you, Lo, here is Christ; or, lo, he is there; believe him not: For false Christs and false prophets shall rise, and shall shew signs and wonders, to seduce, if it were possible, even the elect. But take ye heed: behold, I have foretold you all things mark 13:21-23
• Believe it not! Then if any man shall say unto you, Lo, here is Christ, or there; believe it not. For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect. Behold, I have told you before. Wherefore if they shall say unto you, Behold, he is in the desert; go not forth: behold, he is in the secret chambers; believe it not. For as the lightning cometh out of the east, and shineth even unto the west; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. Matthew 24:26
• Do not go after them, nor follow them! And they shall say to you, See here; or, see there: go not after them, nor follow them. For as the lightning, that lighteneth out of the one part under heaven, shineth unto the other part under heaven; so shall also the Son of man be in his day. Luke 17:22-24
• Let no man deceive you! That ye be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter as from us, as that the day of Christ is at hand. Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition; Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.2 Thessalonians 2:3

Cling to the Truth- let no man deceive you
    If you heard of a worldwide announcement that the Messiah, Jesus Christ, Son of Mary had come to earth…would you believe it? Do you know the scriptures well enough to discern the truth from Satan’s lies? What if you saw this Jesus, who claimed to be the son of Mary doing great miracles, signs and wonders? Would that convince you? We are told in the book of Revelation that a false prophet will arise and he will come with great signs and wonders, he will bring fire down from heaven – just like the prophet Elijah. He will know the scripture –better than you and, if it were possible, even deceive the elect.

 “Peace! Security!”
He will shout out and proclaim over the earth.
You are starting to wonder….is it Him?

    We are told in Revelation that this false prophet will have horns as a lamb and will have words of the dragon coming out of his mouth. From this verse we know that he will look like a lamb– and who is the lamb of God? It’s Jesus! So from the outward appearance, he will look like Jesus, act like Jesus, doing great signs, wonders, telling the World he has come to bring in his kingdom of peace. He will honor the 1^st beast, which we call the antichrist, the man of lawlessness and both will have their power from the dragon, who is called satan, the devil, that old serpent. His words are like a dragon, the scripture tells us, and from the scripture we know all his power and authority is given to him from the dragon –serpent, the devil.(Revelation 13:1, 4:7, 13:12, 12:9, 20:2)

Facts you must cling to in these last days so you will not be deceived:

Hold on to these truths –

• Jesus is the Son of God
• Jesus died on the cross and rose again

Remember these also in the days ahead:

• God does not lie
• Satan is the father of ALL lies
• Jesus is the Truth.  “Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.” John 14:6
• God does not promote lying under any circumstance
• Every word of the bible is God breathed and inspired by the Holy Spirit- there are no mistakes with the Holy Spirit of God

How is Jesus Coming Back???  (Revelation 19:9-12 Matthew 24:30 Matthew 26:64.Mark 13:26 Mark 14:62 2 Peter 3:10 1 Thes.4;16-17 Revelation 1:7  Matthew 24:43-44)

 Then the sign shall appear of the Son of man in heaven, then all the tribes of the earth will mourn and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.  He will come in the clouds of heaven with great power and glory. And Jesus said, I am: and ye shall see the Son of man sitting on the right hand of power, and coming in the clouds of heaven.

   When he comes on the clouds, every eye shall see him, and they also which pierced him: and all kindreds of the earth shall wail because of him. Even so, Amen  And this day will come as a thief in the night, in which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up. For the Lord himself descend from heaven with a shout with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. Wherefore comfort one another with these words. And you must also must be ready, because the Son of Man will come at an hour when you do not expect him .

And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he doth judge and make war. His eyes were as a flame of fire, and on his head were many crowns; and he had a name written, that no man knew, but he himself.

The dragon, the beast and the false prophet-  Could you be fooled ?

“And I saw three unclean spirits like frogs come out of the mouth of the dragon, and out of the mouth of the beast, and out of the mouth of the false prophet. For they are the spirits of devils, working miracles, which go forth unto the kings of the earth and of the whole world, to gather them to the battle of that great day of God Almighty. Behold, I come as a thief. Blessed is he that watcheth, and keepeth his garments, lest he walk naked, and they see his shame. And he gathered them together into a place called in the Hebrew tongue Armageddon.” Revelation 16:13-16

The False Prophet and the 1^st beast “antichrist” are powered by Satan, the great deceiver, the dragon, that old serpent. Just as he deceived Eve in the Garden, he is coming in full force to deceive the whole world.  We know Jesus, the real Jesus, is coming back. Don’t be fooled by what is about to come to the earth. Let me tell you what to expect to hear – the deceiving and twisting lies – so you won’t be fooled when you hear the blasphemy. You must study the scriptures so you don’t fall into deception, the scriptures says – they will be deceitful –almost fooling the Elect. Matthew 24:24 “if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect.”

In Revelation 13:11 we are introduced to the 2^nd beast: it has horns of a lamb and words of the dragon, he  looks holy – maybe even impersonating Jesus and he does great miracles,  bringing fire down from the sky, just like the prophet Elijah in 2 Kings 1. “He exerciseth all the power of the first beast and make the entire world worship the first beast whose deadly wound was healed.” Still in revelation, we are told he will do great wonders in the sight of all men and will deceive them that dwell on the earth with the miracles he does “in the sight of the beast”. He will make them create and image to this beast and he will have the power to give life unto the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak, and cause that as many as would not worship the image of the beast should be killed. He will cause all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads:  And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.  Here is wisdom. Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast: for it is the number of a man”

The Haddith, which are Islamic writings and beliefs that correspond and back up the Quran , teaches that Jesus is coming back as an end time prophet to bring peace the World. Their scripture says that he is the Son of Mary, but that he was never crucified and he is not the son of God, instead that was only deceit from Allah to fool people. Their prophet Jesus (aka Isa) seems to almost match the false prophet we are warned about in Revelation. If this happens to be true, this is going to be very confusing to many- especially Christians who don’t know the scripture. We all know He is coming back….but so few know the details written in scripture warning us.

Now, we really don’t know – but wow- they really sound similar. The Islamic scripture teaches there will be a world leader and a messiah- a prophet. Our scripture, inspired by the Holy Spirit of God, warns us of a lawless man who rules over all and by his side is a false prophet. The two work together and they are given power and authority from the Satan. Another interesting coincidence is that one will have more power or authority than the other. In the Quran, they learn that the prophet Jesus will be asked to pray but will say he is not worthy and will give authority over to the leader. In Revelation we are told the false prophet works his wonders only when he is near the other false leader and they two work together, but one seems to have more authority than the other. See, the 1^st beast or the antichrist can work alone if needed, but the false prophet can only work with him.

You won’t know the truth unless you know the scripture – and at that time –who knows- our government may begin destroying bibles so no one will know the truth. The false prophet will work with great authority, signs, wonders, miracles and he will twist and reason all scripture trying to deceive the whole world.

If the beast and the false prophet are the same “messiah” the Quran talks about, this is what we can expect:

Could the Islamic Messiah for end times be the Antichrist we have been warned of? (fyi for those of you who don’t use the word antichrist or want to argue about using that term here are other bible names we can substitute: the beast, the abomination that causes desolation, the man of lawlessness, the little horn, the oppressor- and there are more)

• He will claim : “Peace and Security”
• He will be well loved and charismatic, filled with charm, captivating the world.
• His words sound like words of love, but it’s deceiving charm
• He will claim he is a descendant of Muhammad
• He will say he is the redeemer the world has been waiting for and he came to save
• Assigned by Allah, claiming he is the messiah they have been waiting for
• He is a judge and has come to bring justice
• He will claim that oppression and deceit are things of the past
• He will usher in the one world government under his “righteous” rule
• He will rule for 7 years
• He will come to restore the “one true religion”
• He will lead an army “cataclysmic battle” against his enemy to be destroyed in Jerusalem

Could the Jesus the Islamic faith describes be the False Prophet we are warned of?

• He will call himself the prophet Jesus or Isa, the son of Mary
• He will come down from heaven
• He will lead the prayers to Allah, but will hand them over because he claims he is not qualified to lead the prayers
• He will arrive with the Mahdi- beast or ruler listed above-
• They will compliment each other and work wonders side by side and “wipe away oppression”

Wow! This ties almost exactly into Revelation’s warning of the False prophet and the lawless one, aka antichrist, aka first beast.

The Lies they will tell the World, which are already written in their books:

• He will say Jesus is a Muslim
  He will claim he was never crucified and claim to fix scriptures mistakes
  He will deny that He is God’s son and say he was only a prophet
  He is expected to defeat the antichrist or the false messiah coming to earth
  He will claim he is the son of Mary, and describe is as the Christians know in scripture
  He will claim he is the only way along the path
  He will say that Allah is his lord and all must worship him, for this is the right path
  He will descend and join the Mahdi in a war, dressed in yellow robes
  He will slay the antichrist and everyone from the “people of the book” (jews and Christians)
  He will break the cross and kill the Jews
  He will say he is the Jesus of the bible, but that he taught Islam
  He will know and explain all the scriptures very well

Extra thoughts and ponderings…………………..

In revelation 11, the two witnesses come forth and witness to the world. The beast out of the pit kills them. Recently when I read this, two things came to mind –maybe far fetched ,but I’m stepping outside my box of teachings, courses and books and just trying to see things differently …

1- Whose side is the pope on? The prophecy of St. Malacy about the last pope – I’ve heard different theories on this and who he fights for is unknown, we know he will pasture his sheep through the tribulations, but who his sheep are is unclear. I could see him as one of the ones to dislike these two witnesses. Interesting enough, the first pope was Peter, the last one is Peter. I can just see the 2 witnesses convicting –not only the world of their sins, but also the churches, and I can almost see them speaking out against the idols put before God- commanding all the statues of saints and their worship to be knocked down. This is going to infuriate some church goers- I don’t know if the pope and the two witnesses are really going to see eye to eye on things. We imagine them to be going after the Muslim teaching, but they will convict everyone – churches, Christians, those living in sin, wrong teaching, religious spirits, adultery, homosexuality, witchcraft, – everyone who hears will be convicted of sin in their life- some will convert, yet others will hate them.
2- Harvest and Harvest: not relevant for post, but oh well…  So , out there again, as I was reading about the feasts of the old testament, I believe there are clues to the rapture hidden in the feast of harvest (Ex23:16) –which is the first harvest of first fruits and the feast of ingathering which is the second ingathering at the end of season. Sounds like Revelation 19 and that sickle going out at the end. Could this prove an early rapture and then another one at the very end? Oh brother, I got some of you really wound up.

Be ready, be alert and prepare yourself for the coming of our Savior Jesus Christ, the Son of God. He is the Way, the Truth and Life. No man goes to the Father expect through Him. That is yea and Amen in Christ Jesus.
