A Prayer for America

Lord,

Thank you for your hand of protection over this great country and for making us a country that considers you the God we trust. Look down and see our Nation, many are hurting and we have become divided. May your peace and healing be upon us, once again bring us together as one great Nation under God.  Lord, I ask you for you to bring peace and hope to those angry, hurting, confused and protesting. Brings us peace and bring us together. May you put hope in their hearts.

Heal the hearts of Americans and fill us with great hope, knowing that you are in charge of all things. You raise up leaders and you take down leaders.  You have called us to be a nations of righteousness and justice

Fill our youth and young Americans with godly wisdom to know right and wrong. Guide President Elect Donald Trump along paths of righteousness and surround him with godly advisers.  Give him strength and godly wisdom  in all he does.

Bring back truth and your Word to our schools and the hearts of our children. Let our youth no longer be swayed and brainwashed by books and professors, but give them a mind of wisdom and truth. Raise up your laws in our land and raise up those who love you into positions of leadership so we can live lives that please you.

Bless our land , bless our country, bless our people and in return let us turn from our wickedness and live lives that please you.

Raise up new leaders to reform our prison system  and release those unjustly imprisoned.  Give us a heart for those in prison, for the widow and for the poor.

Reveal every secret thing, every scheme and every plot – let everything be revealed.  Let every hidden thing be revealed.

Heal our inner cities , the families and the youth. Protect the children from violence , from drugs and restore the families. Put up your mighty angelic army at our borders, even the borders of our cities to stop all drugs and violence. Release those who are addicted when they cry out to you and restore our lives to blessings and not curses- that we would repent and turn back to you.

I pray for all the children that live in cities of violence, I pray for their protection, that they would prosper in You in all they do. Stop the violence and crush any wicked scheme that comes against your people. Only you have the answers , give them hope, direction,  a road to prosperity and hearts of love for you.

Restore our education system and let every American know that all knowledge, understanding and wisdom begins with YOU.

Protect our nation and borders from the influence and entrance of Islam and Sharia law, let every wicked tactic be halted in Jesus name. Crush the hate they have for Americans and crush the hate they have for homosexuals. Lord, teach us to treat people of other faiths and beliefs with Love.  Raise up the righteous voice to save those who have fallen from your word and let it fall on hearts for salvation.

Restore Holiness among us.

Open the eyes of America to see the power media has had over us, give us wisdom to know truth. Open the eyes of our young to know right from wrong and the power not to be swayed by mans words, but to understand truth.

God bless president Trump and all his advisers

Give us peace among the nations and love for Israel, to protect her and  her people.

Protect our troops and bring our men and women home safely.

Heal and watch over all our veterans. Bring healing and restoration to each one, and all those who suffer, Lord, I ask that you would make them whole. Hear their cries and bring them justice.

Surround President Trump with wise men that will bring our country out of debt, wise men to know how to deal with foreign nations in peace.

Hear the cries of the poor and deliver them. Help our economy and give us a hope for our future.  Send wise advisers to help us with our healthcare system  and send new healing medicines for cancer and other sicknesses,  for which there is no hope.

For every woman considering abortion, please stop her and give her hope. Bless all her ways as she trusts in you. Raise up godly sons to live righteously

Turn the hearts of those who  are hurting, confused and angry to a heart of hope

Crush any hate we have for others. Let us no longer be divided  by the color of our skin, or our the parties we belong to. Lord let us no longer see black and white – but men and women created in Your Image, whom you love very much. If there is any injustice, let it be revealed and bring justice. Stop the unjust killings and if there be any wickedness or hatred, reveal it and crush it in Jesus name. Protect our police officers and if there be anyone abusing their power, reveal it to all and step in to stop the violence.

Give us a heart and love for the suffering and the disabled, show us how we can help them.

God Bless Hillary Clinton and give her healing. Guide her and her family back to you and fill her heart with peace and a new joy You found only in Christ Jesus.

Open our eyes to the sin of our land, the shed blood of the innocent, our immoral ways,  our violence and how we have all gone according to our own ways, and not Your ways. Turn our hearts back to you.

Forgive us for shaming you and so quickly fallen away, for we have not taught our children day and night as you commanded us, our words are full of filth, our ways are perverse before you, lusts of life have taken over, we are entertained by filth and violence and there is little or no love in our hearts to other people.  Change us O God, for lives are blessed and peaceful when we follow you.

Stop the influence of witchcraft and violence on our youth, raise up new talent that creates new shows  and movies that entertain with godliness and humor that is not offensive to you.

Raise up news stations and journalists that deliver truth and aren’t swayed by money, fear and power.

Let us consider our ways  and how we have grieved your Holy Spirit.

Restore us O God and guide us, According to your word.  Protect this nation and bring peace upon all the people.  May you reign once again over this great Nation you have given us, for Nothing is impossible with you – nothing is impossible with you.

Let all the world know that Jesus is the only way to salvation,  keep us far from pride and haughtiness but remember always to treat each other with love, blessing those who curse us and loving those who hate us.

God give us strength and bring us back to you. What was divided, make us one again. Thank you for this new hope, I am confident in you, O Lord.

Bless our Nations O God, Restore us back to you

Don’t fret over what you see and hear – have faith. If you are bothered or upset, pray to God  and he will surely answer you.

 

My enemies, My enemies, O Lord Rescue me. Prayer of Psalm 119

Notice how the Psalmist keeps his focus on the Lord and His Word even though he is in great anguish and tribulation. He tells God what is going on yet  his focus goes back to Gods words and His promises each moment. In the last post I wrote, the writer of Ps119 claims all God’s promises as he prays ending each promise with “according to your Word”.  Need God’s Word? try psalms 23 and 34 to start: He protects you, he gives you rest, he frees you from all your fears and He always delivers you.

 

Heavenly Father, Creator of Heaven and Earth,

My enemies have me in derision,  they do not follow your law. I tremble at their pride before you, for your laws have been my song.  The hands of wicked have robbed me and surrounded me but I will still follow your ways. Mine enemies accuse me night and day, they forge a lie against me but I will continue to keep your precepts with all my heart.

   My enemy’s heart is as fat as grease, full of their own ways. Your ways O Lord are better to me than thousands of gold and silver. Let mine enemies who are full of pride be put to shame,  for they deal wickedly against me without cause, but my heart remains in your statues.

Comfort me O Lord and Delivery me according to your Word,  fight those who persecute me. For the proud and wicked have dug a pit for me and they do not follow your law. They tried to destroy me but you helped me according to your word. For your word is settled in heaven.

The wicked lied in wait for me to destroy me but I look at your testimonies.  Thou I am afflicted, you will restore and deliver me. Bend down to hear my praise.  Look down and see how the wicked have laid a snare for me, yet I continue on your righteous path. You rebuke the proud and they are cursed, they err from your commands.

 Depart from me you evil doers, for the Lord upholds me.  He shall keep me safe and I will meditate on His word continually.  You crush the wicked who err from your ways, all their ways are false and they know it.  You put away the wicked, I praise you, all the wicked of the earth are like dross.  My flesh trembles in fear of thee. I have done justice, deliver me from my oppressors, all those who forget your words.

 I am despised, trouble and anguish take hold of me, yet i do not forget your precepts. Hear me O God , in your Loving Kindness, as I cry out to you.  My enemies are full of schemes and mischief, how well I know it. But you are near to me O God. consider my affliction and deliver me, Plead my case for me for my enemies seek my destruction.  Salvation is far from the wicked for they do not seek your statues.

Many are my persecutors and my enemies, yet I will stand firm in your word for I trust in you. I am unshakable before my enemies because I trust in you. When I saw my enemies despise your word, I was grieved, consider how I love your laws and restore me according to your promises.

Even the princes have come to persecute me, but my heart meditates on your word.  I will praise you seven times a day. Let my cry come before you and give me understanding and deliver me. Let your hand help and lift me up.

Let my soul live and it shall praise thee, and let they judgments help me. For I was lost, yet You rode the heavens to help me. I will never forget your commands.

I pray all this in the name of my redeemer, Christ Jesus – for His word is more powerful than any doubled edged sword

Strengthen me O God, According to your Word
Establish your Word in Me O Lord, According to your Word
Turn my eyes away from vanity and quicken me According to your Word
Heal me from sickness According to your Word
Deal with me According to your Word
Let your Merciful Kindness be my comfort According to your Word
Your precepts quicken me According to your Word
Deliver me from discouragement According to your Word
Deliver me from all my fears According to your Word
Deliver me from death According to your Word

“According to your Word” occurs 23x in Psalm 119. The Hebrew word “Debar”  means Word, and other times it is translated as ; According to your truth, your ways, the glory of your name, your works,ways, manner , commands, sayings, acts,  promise, your laws.

We also know that the Word became flesh and dwelt among us- that is Christ Jesus. Today we know the Word is Christ Jesus, we also know all God’s promises are Yes and Amen In Him. (2 Cor 1:20). All the Promises above are in Christ Jesus, a sure foundation and anchor for your soul.

The word “quicken me” is used 16 times in Psalm 119- “quicken me according to your word”

Quicken in Hebrew means : to live, have life, remain alive, sustain life, live prosperously, live for ever, be healed, be quickened, be alive, restore to life, to cause to grew, revive, to have life, from death, restored from discouragement, restore from faintness, to preserve, be restored to life or health.
