Dear Great and Mighty God of our Fathers, the Creator of all things

We humbly come before you in prayer. We have sinned greatly against you , the earth cries out against us for our violence and bloodshed. We have put vanity, lust and worldly desires before you. Our sins have been great, but we ask that you would look down and see the remnant of those who love you in this country. We ask that you would forgive us and hear our prayers to you O Mighty God.

Forgive us for our pride, our greed, our laziness, our lack of love and for not seeking you out. Forgive us for taking your name away from our children and not teaching them your word.

Lord, bring us back to you, let us be a nation unto the Lord.  Protect our nation with years of peace under your Name and your guard over us. Destroy our enemies and crush every plot that comes against us. Raise up leaders who will put your name and your ways back in our lives, our schools and in our government. Heal us and let us see your Glory.  Put your words in all our hearts and do not let any evil force steal your word from our heart and mind. Lift up your people, raise up great and mighty leaders strong in the Lord to lead us to live lives that honor you. Just as you brought peace at the time of Solomon, I ask that you would bring our country peace under your name and leadership. Give our President and his advisers great wisdom and discernment in all matters. Raise up good and just judges and lawmakers that love you and honor your name.

Thank you Lord for the blessing of this free country. We live in great luxury, you have blessed us with food, water, shelter and have give us more than we need – I know that all we have and all I have is from your hand. Thank you for the courage and persistence you gave our founders to start this great nation. Thank you for the warriors, our veterans and those fighting for us now. Lord, protect them with your mighty angels, bring them home safely and for all those who have been wounded and/or are suffering mentally and in distress, Lord, In Jesus name I ask they would be healed. Bring your healing hand of power upon each of them and all those who cry out to you. Bring healing to our veterans and bless their lives and their families.

Our president has proclaimed Memorial day a day of Prayer of Permanent peace. Hear our Prayer O Lord that we could have peace. Protect our country and all the nations from terrorist attacks. Lord, stop Islamic terrorists and crush their camps. Do a great and mighty thing in our day as you did in the days of Judges and Kings, that you would send confusion to those planning evil, that you would blind as they go to fight, that you would turn their hearts to know YOU. You desire to see no man perish, but throughout the ages you have shown us how much you love us, even to sacrifice you Only Son, the Lamb of God who takes away the sins of the World. My prayer is for peace but also for the salvation of every soul.

You, O God, are our refuge, our strength, our protector, our ever present help in times of need.

Thank you for being our God, thank you for hearing our prayer and thank you for this day of prayer that President Trump has proclaimed. Protect President Trump and his family and give him wisdom. Let us come together in unity as one people before you, no longer divided in strife. May love rule our hearts and God rule our country.

God bless our heroes – our service men both here and over seas, God bless our government workers and those who risk their lives daily for the safety of others, God bless our children, God bless our families, God bless our country and God bless President Trump.

In the Precious and Mighty Name of Jesus,

Amen

Hear the Word of the Lord:

  • But let all who take refuge in you be glad; let them ever sing for joy. Spread your protection over them, that those who love your name may rejoice in you. Psalm 5:11
  • There is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved- and there is salvation in no one else. Acts 4:14
  • He existed in the beginning with God. God created everything through him,  and nothing was created except through him John 1:2
  • The king proclaims the Lord’s decree:“The Lord said to me, ‘You are my son. Today I have become your Father Psalm 2:7
  • The Lord said to my Lord,“Sit in the place of honor at my right hand until I humble your enemies, making them a footstool under your feet. Psalm 1:10

Psalm 46
God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.
 Therefore will not we fear, though the earth be removed, and though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea; Though the waters thereof roar and be troubled, though the mountains shake with the swelling thereof. Selah.

 There is a river, the streams whereof shall make glad the city of God, the holy place of the tabernacles of the most High. God is in the midst of her; she shall not be moved: God shall help her, and that right early. The heathen raged, the kingdoms were moved: he uttered his voice, the earth melted. The Lord of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our refuge. Selah.

 Come, behold the works of the Lord, what desolations he hath made in the earth. He maketh wars to cease unto the end of the earth; he breaketh the bow, and cutteth the spear in sunder; he burneth the chariot in the fire. Be still, and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth. The Lord of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our refuge. Selah.

BY THE PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA

A PROCLAMATION

Memorial Day is our Nation’s solemn reminder that freedom is never free.  It is a moment of collective reflection on the noble sacrifices of those who gave the last measure of devotion in service of our ideals and in the defense of our Nation.  On this ceremonious day, we remember the fallen, we pray for a lasting peace among nations, and we honor these guardians of our inalienable rights.

This year, we commemorate the centennial anniversary of America’s entry into World War I.  More than 4.7 million Americans served during The Great War, representing more than 25 percent of the American male population between the ages of 18 and 31 at the time.  We remember the more than 100,000 Americans who sacrificed their lives during “The War to End All Wars,” and who left behind countless family members and loved ones.  We pause again to pray for the souls of those heroes who, one century ago, never returned home after helping to restore peace in Europe.

On Memorial Day we honor the final resting places of the more than one million men and women who sacrificed their lives for our Nation, by decorating their graves with the stars and stripes, as generations have done since 1868.  We also proudly fly America’s beautiful flag at our homes, businesses, and in our community parades to honor their memory.  In doing so, we pledge our Nation’s allegiance to the great cause of freedom for which they fought and ultimately died.

In honor and recognition of all of our fallen service members, the Congress, by a joint resolution approved May 11, 1950, as amended (36 U.S.C. 116), has requested the President issue a proclamation calling on the people of the United States to observe each Memorial Day as a day of prayer for permanent peace and designating a period on that day when the people of the United States might unite in prayer.  The Congress, by Public Law 106-579, has also designated 3:00 p.m. local time on that day as a time for all Americans to observe, in their own way, the National Moment of Remembrance.

NOW, THEREFORE, I, DONALD J. TRUMP, President of the United States of America, do hereby proclaim Memorial Day, May 29, 2017, as a day of prayer for permanent peace, and I designate the hour beginning in each locality at 11:00 a.m. of that day as a time when people might unite in prayer.  I urge the press, radio, television, and all other information media to cooperate in this observance.

I further ask all Americans to observe the National Moment of Remembrance beginning at 3:00 p.m. local time on Memorial Day.

I also request the Governors of the United States and its Territories, and the appropriate officials of all units of government, to direct that the flag be flown at half-staff until noon on this Memorial Day on all buildings, grounds, and naval vessels throughout the United States and in all areas under its jurisdiction and control.  I also request the people of the United States to display the flag at half-staff from their homes for the customary forenoon period.

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand this twenty-fourth day of May, in the year of our Lord two thousand seventeen, and of the Independence of the United States of America the two hundred and forty-first.

DONALD J. TRUMP

13 Reasons why you need to keep your kids away from “13 Reason Why”

You’ve probably heard the hype by now and you may think you don’t have to worry about it, but if you have teens or preteens, take another look. So many of us- well-meaning parents,  have found out that our children have watched these episodes of “13 Reasons Why” on Netflix already either at home, on their phone, on a friend’s phone, at a friend’s house or even at school. You’d be surprised.  I just found out my teen watched it on her friend’s phone at her Christian home school group because her friend was watching it on her phone throughout their lunch. Image result for 13 REASONS WHY

  1. It triggers suicidal thoughts!   Face it, we really don’t know everything going on in our children’s lives – we think we do, but with social media, cell phones, computers, etc, our children have access to everything -and they know how to hide everything.
  2. Increases self harm- Triggers more cutting. Our kids our cutting themselves, inflicting pain to escape their own mental pain and this show will only make it worse. If you see your child in any state of depression, check them for cutting. They are now cutting themselves in areas you wouldn’t look . So sad!  It seems the internet, cell phones and social media have stolen our children from us. It’s gotten out of control.
  3. God’s word says to be wise to what is good and simple to what is evil. Turn their focus on God,  pray for them.
  4. It does more harm than good.  Alexandra Contrades-Lacy at change.org said “After finishing the series, I became depressed and was suicidal for the first time in a year. This show was a trigger. Yes, I will take responsibility that I watched this on my free will. The difference is that I am taking action. This show makes teenagers believe that no one out there will help” Please take time to SIGN HER PETITION and get this show off the air https://www.change.org/p/selena-gomez-remove-13-reasons-why-from-netflix,
  5. To stop the lying! “No, mom, I haven’t watched it ” Many moms have NO idea their children have already seen almost every episode and mama, you have no idea. My daughter said she watched the first episode on her friend’s phone.  A friend of mine, who is always on top of everything her children do, had no idea her daughter had watched all 14 episodes on her school laptop. Talk with your teens and preteens. Check your Netflix accounts to see what has been viewed at home.
  6. This is  another enemy tactic to destroy your children. The thief comes to kill, still and destroy, but God wants our children to have life and to live in life abundantly -not to suffer in torment and depression. Turn on Praise music, remember how the tormenting spirits left King Saul when David would play His harp.
  7. It glorifies and romanticizes suicide and mental illness.  “Suicide is romanticized and almost glorified in this show, as Hannah reclaims control of her life by ending it ” according to Leah Murphy at http://lifeteen.com/blog/watch-13-reasons/  Read linked post for more information.
  8. This show doesn’t teach them to correctly deal with pressure, depression, stress, feelings of hopelessness, suicidal thoughts and bullying. Get help and/or get out of that situation.
  9. Because you LOVE them. It’s so easy to look the other way, isn’t it? Every effort you make for your child makes a difference. Talk to them. I know everyone thinks their child doesn’t lie, but go through their phones, laptops and see what they’ve been looking up. Also be aware of the new fad the blue whale challenge BWC:  http://www.palmbeachpost.com/news/blue-whale-challenge-warnings-sent-parents-about-suicide-game/sVqvIb50Ycf2vMNlx8E9AP/                                                                             ****** See short video below on BWC, warning have gone out all over the county and school systems on this.
  10. Because it’s your responsibility, a great gift from God that He has entrusted this child to you. Guard your children. I’ve read comments from parents and counselors that this show has already killed children.    SAVE YOUR CHILDREN
  11. Because suicide is not entertainment and neither is mental illness. This show is harmful and defined by others as disgusting- a show that glorifies rape, graphic content ,suicide, sexual conduct, drinking, f words, lots of sex among young high school sophomores.
  12. Sends the wrong message to teens.  Promotes feelings of hopelessness and no promotion of help or resources for their suffering.
  13. You must guard their hearts. And I’m calling BS (Bull shark) on everyone who says they think this show was unintentional and it was originally meant to be a well intended show. Shame on you pluggin in!  Your reviews are far from Christian anyways.

If you’ve discovered that your child has watched the show, don’t get angry. Use the time to open up and talk about it. Don’t let it go by without replacing the lies with truth.

Watch the short video below to see a clear picture of what this show is about.

How can we make a difference?  Cancelling your Netflix account or sending them an email might make a difference. Netflix: 1-866-579-7172

Lord, Crush and destroy this show and any show that tries to destroy your people and your children. Do not let another episode air and keep every child from seeing it. Take this show down in total destruction. Protect all the children suffering and give them hope and a new found joy in You. In Jesus name, amen

As I researched this and read comments from parents, counselors and teen I was distraught, shocked and saddened.  So many people have had loved ones die of suicide and this show was a factor. Many  said this show was the reason for the suicidal deaths of their children, friends and patients. It’s more dangerous than I could have imagined. Read though some of the comments on the petition listed on #4, (you might have to sign the petition first) and you’ll read a few first hand reports on how this has affected lives of so many.

He hears your prayers and your cries, Make the Lord your refuge until these calamities pass by.

   Meditating on Psalm 34 helped me during difficult trials. I know that every word of God is true. You can trust in Him. As Psalm 57 says, “My soul trusts in You, and in the shadow of Your wings I make my refuge until these calamities pass by. I will cry unto God Most High who performs all things for me, He shall send help from heaven to save me.”

Psalm 34

I will praise the Lord at all times.
    I will constantly speak his praises.
 I will boast only in the Lord;
    let all who are helpless take heart.
 Come, let us tell of the Lord’s greatness;
    let us exalt his name together.

 I prayed to the Lord, and he answered me.
    He freed me from all my fears.
 Those who look to him for help will be radiant with joy;
    no shadow of shame will darken their faces.
 In my desperation I prayed, and the Lord listened;
    he saved me from all my troubles.
 For the angel of the Lord is a guard;
    he surrounds and defends all who fear him.

 Taste and see that the Lord is good.
    Oh, the joys of those who take refuge in him!
 Fear the Lord, you his godly people,
    for those who fear him will have all they need.
 Even strong young lions sometimes go hungry,
    but those who trust in the Lord will lack no good thing.

 Come, my children, and listen to me,
    and I will teach you to fear the Lord.
 Does anyone want to live a life
    that is long and prosperous?
 Then keep your tongue from speaking evil
    and your lips from telling lies!
 Turn away from evil and do good.
    Search for peace, and work to maintain it.

The eyes of the Lord watch over those who do right;
    his ears are open to their cries for help.
 But the Lord turns his face against those who do evil;
    he will erase their memory from the earth.
 The Lord hears his people when they call to him for help.
    He rescues them from all their troubles.
 The Lord is close to the brokenhearted;
 he rescues those whose spirits are crushed.

 The righteous person faces many troubles,
    but the Lord comes to the rescue each time.
 For the Lord protects the bones of the righteous;
    not one of them is broken!

 Calamity will surely destroy the wicked,
    and those who hate the righteous will be punished.
 But the Lord will redeem those who serve him.
    No one who takes refuge in him will be condemned.
