  27. Don’t desire all the delicacies a ruler puts before you, for he might be trying to trick you (When thou sittest to eat with a ruler, consider diligently what is before thee: And put a knife to thy throat, if thou be a man given to appetite. Be not Desirous of his dainties: for they are deceitful meat.)
  28. Don’t wear yourself out trying to get rich. Be wise enough to know when to quit. (Labour not to be rich: cease from thine own wisdom)
  29. Don’t eat with people who are stingy; don’t desire their delicacies They are always thinking about how much it costs “Eat and drink,” they say, but they don’t mean it. You will throw up what little you’ve eaten, and your compliments will be wasted
  30. Don’t bother correcting mockers; they will only hate you. But correct the wise, and they will love you (Forsake the foolish, and live; and go in the way of understanding. He that reproveth a scorner getteth to himself shame: and he that rebuketh a wicked man getteth himself a blot. Reprove not a scorner, lest he hate thee: rebuke a wise man, and he will love thee. Give instruction to a wise man, and he will be yet wiser: teach a just man, and he will increase in learning)
  31. Don’t make a show of all your knowledge: The wise don’t make a show of their knowledge, but fools broadcast their foolishness.(A prudent man concealeth knowledge: but the heart of fools proclaimeth foolishness)  (found 2x)
  32. Don’t waste your breath on fools, for they will despise the wisest advice.
  33. Don’t cheat your neighbor by moving the ancient boundary markers; don’t take the land of defenseless orphans.
  34. Don’t fail to discipline your children. They won’t die if you spank them.( Withhold not correction from the child)
  35. Don’t envy evil people or desire their company.( For their heart studieth destruction, and their lips talk of mischief ) Don’t envy sinners, but always continue to fear the Lord.(… but be thou in the fear of the Lord all the day long)
  36. Don’t despise your mother when she is old and listen to your father, who gave you life
  37. Don’t gaze at the wine, seeing how red it is, how it sparkles in the cup, how smoothly it goes down. Because (At the last it biteth like a serpent, and stingeth like an adder)
  38. Don’t go to war without wise guidance; victory depends on having many advisers. (in multitude of counsellors there is safety.)
  39. Don’t excuse yourself by saying, “Look, we didn’t know.” For God understands all hearts, and he sees you. He who guards your soul knows you knew. He will repay all people as their actions deserve.
  40. Don’t wait in ambush at the home of the godly, and don’t raid the house where the godly live.
  41. Don’t rejoice when your enemies fall; don’t be happy when they stumble. (Rejoice not when thine enemy falleth, and let not thine heart be glad when he stumbleth)
  42. Don’t fret because of evildoers; don’t envy the wicked.
  43. Don’t associate with rebels, My child, fear the Lord and the king. (My son, fear thou the Lord and the king: and meddle not with them that are given to change: For their calamity shall rise suddenly; and who knoweth the ruin of them both?)
  44. Don’t testify against your neighbors without cause; don’t lie about them.
  45. Don’t say, “Now I can pay them back for what they’ve done to me! I’ll get even with them!”
  46. Don’t be lazy! A little extra sleep, a little more slumber, a little folding of the hands to rest— then poverty will pounce on you like a bandit; scarcity will attack you like an armed robber. (I went by the field of the slothful, and by the vineyard of the man void of understanding; And, lo, it was all grown over with thorns, and nettles had covered the face thereof, and the stone wall thereof was broken down. Then I saw, and considered it well: I looked upon it, and received instruction. Yet a little sleep, a little slumber, a little folding of the hands to sleep: So shall thy poverty come as one that travelleth; and thy want as an armed man.
  47. Don’t demand an audience with the king or push for a place among the great.( For better it is that it be said unto thee, Come up hither; than that thou shouldest be put lower in the presence of the prince whom thine eyes have seen)  (2x)
  48. Don’t be in a hurry to go to court. For what will you do in the end if your neighbor deals you a shameful defeat?
  49. Don’t betray another person’s secret when arguing with your neighbor.
  50. Don’t visit your neighbors too often, or you will wear out your welcome. (Withdraw thy foot from thy neighbour’s house; lest he be weary of thee, and so hate thee.)  (2x)
  51. Don’t answer the foolish arguments of fools, or you will become as foolish as they are.
  52. Don’t brag about tomorrow, since you don’t know what the day will bring
  53. Don’t boast in yourself. “I’m so great, let me tell you about it….” Let another man praise thee, and not thine own mouth; a stranger, and not thine own lips.
  54. Don’t believe everyone! Some pretend to be kind, but don’t believe them. Their hearts are full of many evils.
  55. Don’t protect a murderer.  His tormented conscience will drive him into the grave. Don’t protect him!(A man that doeth violence to the blood of any person shall flee to the pit; let no man stay him.)
  56. Don’t make rash promises, and don’t be hasty in bringing matters before God. (for God is in heaven, and thou upon earth: therefore let thy words be few)
  57. Don’t let your mouth make you sin. And don’t defend yourself by telling the Temple messenger that the promise you made was a mistake. That would make God angry, and he might wipe out everything you have achieved (Suffer not thy mouth to cause thy flesh to sin; neither say thou before the angel, that it was an error)
  58. Don’t long for “the good old days.” This is not wise.
  59. Don’t eavesdrop on others—you may hear your servant curse you. For you know well that: (oftentimes also thine own heart knoweth that thou thyself likewise hast cursed others) .
  60. Don’t quit! If your boss is angry at you, don’t quit! A quiet spirit can overcome even great mistakes.  ( I just texted this verse to someone who didn’t want to hear it, lol, and she just replied “What! Ugh!”)
  61. Don’t make fun of the powerful, even in your own bedroom. For a little bird might deliver your message and tell them what you said Never make light of the king, even in your thoughts
  62. Don’t let the excitement of youth cause you to forget your Creator. Honor him in your youth before you grow old and say, “Life is not pleasant anymore.
  63. Don’t eat too much honey, or it will make you sick! (Hast thou found honey? eat so much as is sufficient for thee)
  64. Don’t make me cut your chicken! Lazy people take food in their hand but don’t even lift it to their mouth.(This verse speaks this also to me: For crying out loud Lisa! How much lettuce and fruit will rot in your kitchen before you get up and cut it. Get a knife and cut it open, very simple, very simple…and yes you have to cook the chicken today, and stop waiting for someone else to cut your fruit)
  65. Don’t break your promises to God. Don’t delay in following through with a promise you made to God, for God takes no pleasure in fools. Keep all the promises you make to him (Better is it that thou shouldest not vow, than that thou shouldest vow and not pay).
  66. Don’t be surprised if you see a poor person being oppressed by the powerful and if justice is being miscarried throughout the land. For every official is under orders from higher up, and matters of justice get lost in red tape and bureaucracy. (for he that is higher than the highest regardeth; and there be higher than they)  God is still in charge and see’s everything
  67. Don’t desire what you don’t have, but enjoy what you have rather.Just dreaming about nice things is meaningless—like chasing the wind.
  68. Don’t be too good or too wise! Why destroy yourself? (Be not righteous over much; neither make thyself over wise: why shouldest thou destroy thyself ? Be not over much wicked, neither be thou foolish: why shouldest thou die before thy time? What is he saying here? Don’t kill yourself trying so hard to be perfect ? Ms. Superclean, can you put away the Lysol for a moment, I can’t breath, Mr.ocd….. if the frame is out of place, take a deep breath and keep walking…..just thoughts, just thoughts….)
  69. Don’t be too wicked either. Don’t be a fool! Why die before your time?
  70. Don’t try to avoid doing your duty, and don’t stand with those who plot evil, for the king can do whatever he wants
  71. Don’t be lazy in the kitchen. Lazy people don’t even cook the game they catch, but the diligent make use of everything they find.  (2-3x in bible)oookay then….
  72. Don’t let your hearts be taken by an immoral woman. Don’t wander down her wayward path. (And, behold, there met him a woman with the attire of an harlot, and subtil of heart. (She is loud and stubborn; her feet abide not in her house: Now is she without, now in the streets, and lieth in wait at every corner.)  So she caught him, and kissed him, and with an impudent face said unto him, I have peace offerings with me; this day have I payed my vows…..For she hath cast down many wounded: yea, many strong men have been slain by her. Her house is the way to hell, going down to the chambers of death )
  73. Don’t go near her house, stay away from her! Don’t lust for her beauty. Don’t let her coy glances seduce you. (For the lips of a strange (immoral) woman drop as an honeycomb, and her mouth is smoother than oil:  But her end is bitter as wormwood, sharp as a two-edged sword. Her feet go down to death; her steps take hold on hell. Lest thou shouldest ponder the path of life, her ways are moveable, that thou canst not know them.) (2+)
  74. Don’t be greedy, for it will lead you to poverty. Greedy people try to get rich quick but don’t realize they’re headed for poverty.
  75. Don’t wait until your last breath to remember your Creator. Yes, remember your Creator now while you are young, before the silver cord of life snaps and the golden bowl is broken. Don’t wait until the water jar is smashed at the spring and the pulley is broken at the well (Then shall the dust return to the earth as it was: and the spirit shall return unto God who gave it)
  76. Don’t ignore the poor. The godly care about the rights of the poor; the wicked don’t care at all.
  77. Don’t act quickly, without thinking. Wise people think before they act; fools don’t—and even brag about their foolishness.

Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man. For God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil.

With Love,
King Solomon

If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you. James 1:5
